Yes, really! Travel to the seventh continent has been booming in recent years. With breathtaking frozen landscapes and rare wildlife, it’s certainly a bucket list destination! If you want a chance to experience being “on the ice,” there are a few options to choose from. Several cruise ships offer antarctic experiences, and each offers something different.

Austria

Every music lover must experience Österreich! The birthplace of Mozart, Haydn, and Falco! It was once said that Vienna was the home of the greatest music on Earth. The farther away you traveled from it, the worse the music became!

Visit storied cities, dramatic landscapes, and ancient castles. With a network of rivers coursing through it, there are many opportunities for indulgent river cruises.

The British Isles

Just as the US is a nation made up of many states, Great Britain is made up of four countries; England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Each has their own history, culture, and language (though English will get you by in all four). Featuring picturesque countryside, ancient castles, and modern cities, there’s something for everyone!

Canada

Oh, Canada! This vast country is home to many amazing sights and experiences. You’re already familiar with the most famous offerings; Niagara, Toronto, and Vancouver. Canada is vast, and offers landscapes to fit every traveler

My recommendation is Quebec City, in the province of Quebec. I spent a summer there for a study abroad. It is highly underrated as a destination city!

France

Say Bonjour to a destination that has inspired romantic travel dreams for centuries! Of course there’s the City of Light, but there’s more to France than Paris. The beaches of Normandy invite relaxation. The mountains of the Alps offer breathtaking views. Explore the wine and champagne regions to delight your senses. Enjoy discovering the picturesque landscape and the châteaux that dot the country.

Germany

Deutschland is a wonderful destination for many reasons. There’s rich history both ancient and contemporary, great food, wonderful sights, and the most efficient public transportation you’ll ever experience!

Many locals speak English, making it a great choice for first time international travelers who are not multi lingual. My recommendation is to visit the beautiful and relaxing region of Bavaria in the south of Germany.
